RADISHES

This quick growing root vegetable comes in a rainbow of colors. They tend to be sweeter in the spring and fall and spicier in the summer. Radishes are a good detoxifier and can aid digestion.

STORAGE TIPS:
If the greens are attached, remove prior to storing. Keep in a plastic bag in the refrigerator and eat within 10-12 days.

CULINARY TIPS:

  • Thinly slice the greens and add to a salad

  • Add thinly sliced to coleslaw

  • Roast to bring out their natural sweetness

PAIRS WELL WITH:

  • Parsley, thyme, dill

  • Farro, rice, lentils

  • Tofu, eggs, butter
