garlic knots

  • 14-ounces premade pizza dough
  • 5 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Quarter the dough and flatten it into rectangles about 5 inches long and ½ inch thick. Using a sharp knife, slice the dough into strips about 1 inch wide. Then cut these strips in half.

Lightly flour the strips. Then take one piece, work it into a snake and then tie it in a knot. Set each knot on the baking sheet, leaving about an inch between each one. Once all the knots are tied, brush with olive oil. Loosely cover the baking sheet with plastic wrap and let them rise again in a warm place for about 90 minutes.

While the knots are rising, preheat the oven to 400°. Then uncover the knots and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until nicely browned.

Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small pot over medium-low heat and cook garlic in it, just about 1 to 2 minutes. Add salt and parsley and stir to combine. Turn off the heat.

After the baked knots have cooled for about 5 minutes, brush with the garlic butter mixture and serve.
