WINTER SQUASH

Often found adorning Thanksgiving tables, winter squash are a hard skinned member of the cucumber family. Our favorite variety is the Honeynut, a cross between Butternut and Buttercup. These diminutive squashes are sweeter than their other squash relatives.

STORAGE TIPS:
Keep refrigerated stored in a plastic bag. Best eaten within 7 days.

CULINARY TIPS:

  • Cube and roast

  • Stuff halved squash with sausage and diced vegetables

  • Make a delicious, creamy soup

PAIRS WELL WITH:

  • Sage, parsley, thyme

  • Honey, brown sugar

  • Kale, spinach

  • Black beans, other legumes
