SCALLIONS

Scallions (sometimes referred to as green onions) are an immature onion bulb. Their flavor is more mild than a mature onion and they are often found in Asian cuisines. Scallions have B-complex vitamins and essential minerals such as copper, iron, manganese, and calcium.

STORAGE TIPS:
Keep refrigerated stored in a plastic bag. Best eaten within 7-10 days.

CULINARY TIPS:

  • Typically the white part of a scallion is used for cooking, and the green for raw applications

  • Toss on the grill

  • Add to salad dressing
