strawberry ginger lemonade

  • 3 strawberries, hulled
  • 4 oz. Lemon-Ginger Brew (see below)
  • Lemon slice (for serving)

Lemon Ginger Brew

  • 8 oz. ginger, peeled, chopped
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • ? cup agave syrup (nectar) or pure maple syrup

For the Lemon Ginger Brew
Pulse ginger in a food processor to a coarse paste. Bring ginger and 6 cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan then reduce heat and simmer until reduced to 3 cups, about 30–40 minutes.

Strain into a large jar and mix in lemon juice and agave; add more lemon juice or agave, if desired. Let cool, cover, and chill. This can be made ahead and kept in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Make the Lemonade
Muddle strawberries in a glass. Add Lemon-Ginger Brew and stir well. Fill glass with ice and garnish with lemon slice.
